De Bruyne calm over Blues future; Arsenal want Sime Vrsaljko

Chelsea winger Kevin De Bruyne remains calm over his future at Stamford Bridge amid speculation linking him with a January move to Wolfsburg.

Chelsea winger Kevin De Bruyne remains calm over his future at Stamford Bridge amid speculation linking him with a January move to Wolfsburg, Sky Sports understands.

De Bruyne, who joined Chelsea from Jupiler Pro League side K.R.C. Genk for a fee believed to be in the region of £7 million in January 2012, has fallen out of favour with Jose Mourinho in recent weeks.

The Belgium international, 22, has not been included in the Blues’ starting XI since Round 3 of the Capital One Cup against Swindon Town on 24 September.

De Bruyne was not included in the Blues’ squad for the UEFA Champions League against Steaua Bucharest on 1 October, fueling speculation suggesting he could leave West London during the January transfer window.

However, the 22-year-old appears unworried by his lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge.

“Am I panicking? Of course not. Honestly, I’m not worried. You seem to be more worried than me,” said De Bruyne ahead of Belgium’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Wales on Tuesday night.

“Mourinho is the boss and he decides who plays. He tells me when I’ve done something wrong, but I’ve heard nothing as negative from him as what I’ve been reading in the media.

“I chose to stay and I have no regrets. I continue to fight hard. My chance will come.

“I’m really not concerned about finding a solution in January. That we will have to see.”

De Bruyne is 6/1 to score first and 13/8 to score anytime against Wales at the Koning Boudewijnstadion.

Arsenal want Sime Vrsaljko

Genoa right-back Sime Vrsaljko is reportedly attracting interest from English Premier League leaders Arsenal, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

Vrsaljko, who joined Genoa from Prva HNL giants Dinamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee this summer, has turned in a number of impressive performances for the Rossoblu in 2013/14.

According to reports, F.C. Internazionale Milano are also keeping tabs on the €15 million-rated Croatia international.

Meanwhile, Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin has been linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs, including Arsenal, in recent times.

Perin, 20, is currently valued at €20 million, having kept two clean sheets in seven Serie A appearances for Genoa this season.

“There are many clubs interested in him: Arsenal, Barcelona, AC Milan,” Perin’s agent Matteo Roggi told TuttoMercatoWeb this summer.

“Currently, however, there is only one certainty about Mattia’s future: he will return to Genoa at the end of his loan and there is a mutual intention for him to spend at least one season in a Genoa shirt.

“Just a month ago we extended his contract until 2017 and Mattia’s cost is at least €20 million.

“I am 99 per cent sure he will be Genoa’s goalkeeper next season.”

The Italy youth international was called up to the Italy senior team by Cesare Prandelli for the international friendly against England on 15 August 2012, but has yet to make his Azzurri debut.
