Leeds United have signed defender George McCartney from Premier League Sunderland on a one-month loan deal.
The 29-year-old Northern Ireland international, who has won 34 caps for his country, has been struggling to command a first-team place at the Stadium of Light.
McCartney began his career on Wearside before moving to West Ham in August 2006. He returned to Sunderland under Roy Keane in September 2008, but injuries have sidelined him in recent months.
