Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe is set to rejoin the squad for Sunday’s match against relegation-haunted Newcastle despite just returning to full training after injuring his foot in late January.
Spurs also have Wilson Palacios back from suspension and Alan Hutton is fit again following a foot injury but striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is out with back trouble and Jermaine Jenas will miss the game against his former club with a hamstring problem.
