Juventus skipper Alessandro Del Piero has revealed he could be playing abroad before he decides to retire.
“If I had just been thinking about money I wouldn’t have signed the contract renewal,†Del Piero told Sportsweek.
“I did consider leaving Juve on a couple of occasions but these temptations didn’t last long. But this will be my final team, at least in Italy.â€Â
The “Golden Boy†was early in his career strongly linked with a move to Premiership giants Manchester United.
Del Piero also commented on his injury problems in 1998, when the 33-year-old forward suffered a injury that almost ended his career.
He said: “The worst moment of my career was when I was injured in Udine in October 1998.
“However, the death of my father and his battle against illness reminded me that in life there are tough situations, much tougher than football.â€Â
