Sydney FC’s star striker Alessandro Del Piero says he is already looking ahead to next season after missing out on the A-League finals.
The former Juventus stalwart joined the Australian club last September, and the 38-year-old impressed in his first season Down Under, scoring 14 goals.
Sydney missed on a spot in the play-offs on goal difference to Perth Glory.
Speaking at the A-League awards ceremony in Sydney, the Italian said he is looking forward to spending another year with the team and improving on their performance next season.
“We will spend a couple of months away and then be back for training next season,” the Italian said.
“We want to improve what happened, the last year has not been happy for everyone.
“We will work this winter to become the best team and have the best year, hopefully leave the problems of the last year behind and improve.
“We hope for a much better finish next season.”
