Del Piero: This is not a happy time for Juve

(GSM) – After a disappointing draw against rock bottom side Siena, Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero was in no mood to celebrate his third career century of goals.

Del Piero took his tally as a professional to 301 with yesterday’s brace, but despite leading 3-0 after 10 minutes, Juve were pegged back 3-3 by Siena.

“This is not a happy time for Juventus,” confessed the veteran forward. “When you score three goals in 10 minutes it all seems easy and subconsciously you can relax a little.

“The 3-3, aside from obviously giving respect to Siena for the fightback, was our fault.

“It is a season in which we want to change gear, but the strangest things keep happening to us.”

Del Piero’s family seemed to be psychic, as they prepared T-Shirts in the stands with ‘300’ on the front and ‘301’ on the back.

“I didn’t know about the shirts, it was a nice surprise to see them up there. How have I changed from the start of my career? I’ve aged, but my hunger for victory is always the same.”
