Dembele could be set for Barcelona U-turn

According to Sport.es, Barcelona are prepared to invest in the development of Ousmane Dembele as one of the club’s future star strikers despite initial plans to sell him. The news comes just a few days after Antoine Griezmann revealed that he wouldn’t be leaving Atletico Madrid, leaving the La Liga champions to ponder whether or not it’s worth continuing on with the Dembele experiment after all.

The 21-year-old made the switch to the Nou Camp from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around €105 million, with many pinpointing him as the next big thing in the world of football. Unfortunately, things haven’t quite panned out that way for him as of yet, with a series of injuries hampering his ability to gain some real momentum in Spain. However, with Eric Abidal being viewed as someone who can assist in helping him ease into the club’s style of play, it seems as if things could be looking up for the youngster.
