Dembele joining Dortmund after all

German media outlet Bild claims that Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement to sign French winger Ousmane Dembele from Rennes.

Reports emerged saying that the Millionaires had completed a deal for the youngster some ten days ago, but were quickly denied by the player’s agent.

However, it appears that the transfer has been in the works after all, as Bild now claims the two clubs have reached an agreement.

Dembele will sign a five-year deal with the Millionaires this summer, with the transfer set to be officially unveiled on 14 May.

The highly rated youngster was largely impressed with Borussia Dortmund as he visited club’s facilities three weeks ago, and decided to accept an offer from Signal-Iduna Park shortly afterwards.

Dembele, 18, quickly emerged as one of France’s most talented footballers, as he scored 12 goals and set up another 5 in 23 league outings during his maiden Ligue 1 campaign.
