Deportivo La Coruna identify Taarabt as Babel replacement

La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna have already composed a list of names regarded as potential replacements for Ryan Babel.

The Netherlands forward left Riazor-based club on a free transfer and has already agreed terms with Turkish giants Besiktas, whereas Deportivo La Coruna have already identified several names with Benfica outcast Adel Taarabt believed to be topping the list.

Having signed a five-year deal with the Portugal heavyweights back in 2014, former QPR and Spurs man Adel Taarabt has struggled greatly at Benfica where he is yet to play a single minute for the first team.

Both Spanish and Portuguese media report that the Morocco international has already received several offers from Chinese clubs, but could be tempted into staying in Europe as Branquiazuis ponder a move for the 27-year-old.

Faced with Ryan Babel’s exit and an injury to Carles Gil, Deportivo La Coruna are also pondering a move for FC Porto forward Adrian Lopez.
