Destro to complete Bologna switch

AS Roma striker Mattia Destro is set to join Serie A rivals Bologna on a season-long loan, Tuttosport can reveal.

The Giallorossi were eager to cash in on the talented forward this summer and there were quite a few sides in the race for his signature, including Premier League newcomers Norwich.

However, the latest reports suggest that Bologna are set to secure the services of the Italy international.

Felsinei will pay €1 million for a season-long loan, while a compulsory buy-out option is set at €9 million.

This means that Destro has committed his future to Bologna and no doubts he arrives as a marquee signing at Renato Dall’Ara.

The 24-year-old has done pretty well since joining AS Roma from Genoa, notching 24 goals in 33 Serie A starts.

His new club Bologna start the Serie A campaign with an away game against Lazio and they are 6/1 shot to claim maximum points at Stadio Olimpico.
