Deulofeu set for Everton stay

Spanish newspaper AS has learned that Barcelona attacker Gerard Deulofeu is likely to remain at Everton for another season.

The talented forward has impressed during his season-long loan at Goodison Park and it appears his loan deal will be extended for another year.

Barcelona officials are satisfied with how the player has developed while at Everton and they believe another season at Merseyside would do him a lot of good.

In spite of several niggling injuries and strong competition for places in attack, Deulofeu has made a total of 22 Premier League appearances this season, scoring 3 goals in the process.

And having managed to make quite an impact in his first ever top flight season, the 20-year-old is predicted a bright future in the game.

Following the impressive triumph over Manchester United, Everton face a tricky tie against Southampton, with the Toffees no less than 31/20 to win at St Mary’s.
