Bologna striker Marco Di Vaio was delighted after netting an hat-trick in their 5-2 win over Torino at the Dall’Ara.

The win ended a run of five consecutive draws for the Rossoblu.

“The Coach made himself heard during the half-time break and he was right to do so,” said the striker.

“Conceding a goal early on changed all our plans. Torino were clamming up and we couldn’t find a way through.

“In the second half, after we equalised for the second time, we believed the way the Coach asked us to and you saw the results.

“We did well and were also lucky, but above all did not let our heads drop after going 2-1 down. We are improving and need to grow more, such as winning with a clean sheet.

“I think we are on the right track and this victory will bring confidence, calm and team spirit.”

He added: “I feel good and that is the most important thing. In terms of mentality that is crucial for a forward, along with having the confidence of everyone around me. I’m not done improving yet.”
