Diego confident in trophy chances

New Juventus midfielder Diego is confident the Old Lady can win both the ‘Scudetto and Champions League’ this season.

The Brazilian playmaker joined the Italian giants from Werder Bremen for £20million this summer.

Diego has struggled with a muscular problem and has only made two appearances for the Old Lady this summer.

“Now that I have resolved my injury worries, I am counting on 100 per cent fitness for the start of the season and on top form for early September,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I am convinced that with this side we can aim for the very top of this sport, as we can win the Scudetto and the Champions League.

“That is even more important when we consider this is Juventus – a team that can never be content just to take part.”
