Bayern Munich are eyeing a surprise move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier, according to the Metro.
The England international has been one of the stand-out performers in Spurs’ title tilt this season and is seen by the Bundesliga champions as a potential replacement for Xabi Alonso, who’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
Dier, who arrived at White Hart Lane from Sporting in the summer of 2014, only penned a new contract with the North London outfit back in September.
He has played eighty times for the club in all competitions, scoring six times while he has been capped four times for Roy Hodgson’s side.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side currently sit seven points behind leaders Leicester City, and are priced at 10/11 to beat top four hopefuls Manchester United in front of their own fans on Sunday afternoon.
