Middlesbrough are closing in on the signature of French Under 21 starlet, Didier Digard. Paris St.Germain’s young midfield enforcer, is expected to finalise a move to the Riverside Stadium by the end of the week, reports the Guardian. The fee is expected to be around £4m.
Gareth Southgate has been a keen admirer of the youngster and has been quoted as saying on the club’s website that, “He’s a player with definite qualities and he’s someone we’re interested in.”
Newcastle and Portsmouth were also rumored to be courting the player but the Boro boss has apparently beaten his rivals to sign the 21 year old.
