Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb have moved to suggest that the club have received offers from Barcelona and Tottenham for wonderkid Alen Halilovic.
The 17-year-old is followed by top European clubs and it is only a matter of time before he leaves his current employers for greener pastures.
Dinamo have now revealed that the club have already rejected offers from Barcelona and Tottenham, while they are currently in talks with Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.
“Here is evidence regarding our jewel and ‘kid’ Alen. I have the original contracts between Dinamo and Tottenham where the club would have received 13 million euros, and the player 6 million euros, but he was not ready for that step,” Dinamo executive manager Zdravko Mamic said at club’s general meeting.
“Here is also a written offer from FC Barcelona for 15 million euros, depending on Alen’s appearances, which we refused, and in the last six months, Zoran (Mamic, sporting director and interim manager) has been negotiating with Bayern and Inter about Alen.”
Despite his fragile age, Halilovic has already made a total of 30 league appearances for the club, while featuring in 11 European fixtures.
He has also earned 3 Croatia caps and has a good chance to make the country’s World Cup squad.
The talented footballer is almost certain to leave the club by the end of the season, with Dinamo looking to sell to the highest bidder.
