Djordjevic nears Lazio switch

Lazio are close to reaching an agreement to sign Serbian striker Filip Djordjevic from Nantes, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Biancocelesti attempted to recruit the talented forward in the January window, but ultimately failed in their quest.

Nevertheless, Lazio are set to resume talks with the player’s representatives as they hope to add Djordjevic to their ranks in the summer.

The Serbia international has just four months left on his deal with the Canaries and is believed to have set his sights on a move to Stadio Olimpico.

Meanwhile, the Biancocelesti also aim to persuade veteran striker Miroslav Klose to extend his stay for another season.

Lazio have experienced all sorts of problems this season, but they have shown a great deal of improvement under new boss Edy Reja.

Having picked up 11 points from last five league fixtures, the Biancocelesti are 5/2 to defeat arch rivals Roma next time out.
