Atalanta coach Luigi Del Neri insists they will not make a move to sign Celtic midfielder Massimo Donati.
Donati has been linked with January moves to both Atalanta and AC Milan in recent weeks.
The Italian is desperate to leave Parkhead in January, due to the lack of first-team opportunities in Gordon Strachan’s team.
“I can rule out Donati’s arrival,” Del Neri told the Italian media.
“In 2007 he decided to join Celtic and now he has to respect our decision.
“We are going to sign a new midfielder, but it is not Donati.”
Donati has failed to establish himself at Celtic, following his move from AC Milan in 2007.
