Young Turkish international Nuri Sahin gave Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund a boost on Saturday when he signed a four-year extension to his present contract.
The 20-year-old – who in 2005 became the youngest player in Bundesliga history to sign a professional contract when he signed for Borussia – said he had had numerous offers but had opted to stay with the former Champions League winners.
“Despite some impressive offers that we and the club received, I have renewed my contract with Borussia Dortmuund for four more years,” said Sahin in a statement.
Sahin has also had a brief spell on loan with Dutch giants Feyenoord in the season of 2007/08.
