Dortmund close on Oulare, Geis

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are stepping up their efforts to sign Obbi Oulare and Johannes Geis, Sport Bild can reveal.

The Millionaires could stay without Ilkay Gundogan, Mats Hummels and a couple of fringe forwards in the summer, and new coach Thomas Tuchel is already working on potential reinforcements.

According to Sport Bild, he has identified Club Brugge starlet Obbi Oulare as the primary target to reinforce the front line, despite the fact that the 19-year-old lacks experience of playing at the highest level.

The talented forward did, however, impress in his first ever senior season, bagging a total of seven goals in all competitions.

At the same time, Thomas Tuchel hopes to get reunited with midfielder Johannes Geis, after the pair worked together at Mainz.

Club’s plans for the summer transfer window will also depend on whether the Millionaires can secure Europa League qualification through league finish or DFB Pokal.
