Borussia Dortmund are hot on the trail of Rennes winger Romain Alessandrini, according to L’Equipe.

The Millionaires are expected to make a considerable investment into the playing squad in an attempt to close the gap behind arch rivals Bayern Munich.

And L’Equipe now reports that BVB have made Rennes attacker Romain Alessandrini one of their primary targets.

The Bundesliga side had the player watched in weekend’s goalless draw with Nice, which is enough to suggest they are seriously interested in the 24-year-old.

After enjoying a brilliant first season at Stade de la Route de Lorient having joined from Clermont, Alessandrini expressed his desire to leave les Bretons for a bigger club, but Rennes have so far managed to ward off interested sides.

However, with the talented footballer keeping the rich vein of form, les Bretons may be forced to sell at the end of the season.

Sporting confirm interest in Nani

Primeira Liga giants Sporting Lisbon have moved to confirm speculations linking them with a January move for Manchester United winger Nani.

The Red Devils look set to offload their fringe player in the winter transfer window and it only remains to be seen whether he will leave on loan or permanent deal.

And while Juventus and Inter Milan remain keen, Nani is also being linked with a return to Sporting Lisbon.

According to club president Bruno de Carvalho, the Lions would jump at the opportunity to sign their former player.

“Do not know, but Nani is a player of the house, and therefore, let’s see if there is truth in what the English are saying,” de Carvalho told reporters in Paris.

“He would be very welcome. If there is a possibility, we would be very happy.”

It was at Sporting Lisbon that Nani started his professional career, scoring 9 goals in 58 league outings before joining Manchester United in the summer of 2007.

Despite showing a lot of promise in his early years at Old Trafford, the 27-year-old is no longer considered an important member of the squad and looks set to quit United this January.

Manchester United improved their Champions League hopes with a comfortable triumph over Swansea, and are now priced at 15/8 to achieve a top 4 finish.

Serie A giants vying for Serbian starlet

Portuguese newspaper A Bola has learned that Kayserispor midfielder Srdjan Mijailovic has quite a few suitors among top Italian clubs.

The same source has suggested that the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan, Lazio and Sampdoria are keeping close tabs on the 20-year-old, who is also on the radar of Atletico Madrid.

Mijailovic began his career at Red Star Belgrade, having been handed his senior debut at the age of 17 and he quickly nailed down a regular starting berth at Marakana.

Having amassed a total of 52 top flight appearances for the club, the youngster joined Kayserispor in the summer and in turn enjoyed a bright start to his career in Turkey.

Mijailovic started 14 Turkish Super Lig matches this term, thus further establishing his reputation as one of Europe’s most talented holding midfielders.

Despite his fragile age, the midfielder has already earned 5 Serbia caps, although he has been representing the Under-21 side of late.
