Spanish daily newspaper Marca has learned that Borussia Dortmund are readying summer bid for FC Porto midfielder Hector Herrera.
The Millionaires have largely struggled for form this season and currently sit at rock bottom in German Bundesliga.
As a result, the club aim to seriously reinforce the playing squad and Hector Herrera appears to be one of the first names on their wish list.
According to Marca, Dortmund plan to step up their interest in the summer and they will offer around €25 million for the highly rated footballer.
Hector Herrera, 24, quickly developed into a key player for FC Porto, making 28 league appearances and scoring 3 goals.
He was especially impressive playing for Mexico at the 2014 World Cup and is believed to be on the radar of quite a few top sides.
Borussia Dortmund appear to be leading the chase at the moment, but they could face competition for the player’s signature.
