Dortmund join race for Marc Bartra

Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund are readying summer bid for Barcelona starlet Marc Bartra, according to Kicker.

The Millionaires are actively seeking for a successor to Mats Hummels and the Spanish defender appears to be one of the first names on their radar.

The 25-year-old recently confirmed that he could leave for mere €8 million this summer thanks to a clause in his contract that was activated due to lack of first team appearances last season.

As a result, a number of top European clubs are casting admiring glances his way, with Fiorentina and Tottenham Hotspur also keen.

Bartra seems to have decided to leave Barcelona in search of regular playing time, even though he was surprisingly included in Spain’s Euro 2016 squad.

The talented centre-back, who had come through club’s famous La Masia youth academy, only made 13 league appearances last term, starting 4 of those games.
