Dortmund keen on Diego Godin

talkSPORT has learned that Borussia Dortmund have joined chase for Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.

Chelsea and Manchester City had previously expressed interest in the Uruguayan, with the Millionaires ready to battle them for the player’s signature.

Diego Godin has less than two years left on his deal at Vicente Calderon and he continues to be linked with a move away from the club.

Los Colchoneros are hoping to tie down the defender to a new long-term contract, but it appears the player is ready to explore other options.

Digo Godin joined Atletico from Villarreal back in the summer of 2010 and has since featured in 93 La Liga matches for the club, scoring 3 goals in the process.

He has played an important role in club’s magnificent start to the season that saw them win six straight league fixtures.

The 100% record will be put to a serious test when they face Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu, with Atletico 9/2 to make it seven on the bounce.
