Dortmund line up Caicedo to replace Lewandowski

Borussia Dortmund are weighing up move for Lokomotiv Moscow striker Felipe Caicedo, Sport Bild has revealed.

The Bundesliga champions are aware they would not be able to hold on to star striker Robert Lewandowski for much longer and are already searching for his replacement.

According to Sport Bild, Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo is high on Jurgen Klopp’s wish list.

Hamburger SV are also keen on the 24-year-old, but the Millionaires are hoping they will be able to win the race for the player’s signature.

Felipe Caicedo joined Lokomotiv Moscow in a €7.5 million deal from Levante in the summer of 2011, and has enjoyed a bright start to his career in Russia.

The Ecuador international has scored 9 goals in 25 league appearances for the Russian club, but has started just three of eight matches this season.

It is also believed that the striker would jump at the opportunity to return to one of the top European leagues.
