Dortmund ready to bring Mkhitaryan back to Germany

Manchester United fans were hugely excited when Henrikh Mkhitaryan arrived at Old Trafford, and rightly so. The Armenian had registered 11 goals and 15 assists in the 2015/16 Bundesliga season and was clearly a huge talent.

Unfortunately that talent doesn’t seem to have translated to success in the Premier League, and, according to the BBC, the winger could make a return to Borussia Dortmund if his form doesn’t improve.

Mkhitaryan has been accused by many of disappearing in big games, and though he started the season well, grabbing a goal and five assists, his form has fallen off a cliff of late.

United currently sit second in the Premier League table, five points behind their rivals Manchester City, and they will require consistent performances from all of their big players if they are to keep up with Pep Guardiola’s side.

Thankfully Jose Mourinho has an abundance of talented players at his disposal, but that means that Mkhitaryan could be sidelined unless he starts performing at the level he is capable of.
