Dortmund readying bid for Niklas Sule

Bundesliga high flyers Borussia Dortmund are hot on the trail of Hoffenheim centre-back Niklas Sule, according to Bild.

New coach Thomas Tuchel seems ready to offload long-serving defender Neven Subotic, with Mats Hummels, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Sven Bender all in front of him in the pecking order.

And Bild has now suggested that Hoffenheim’s Niklas Sule is seen as a great long-term replacement for Subotic.

The Germany Under-21 international recently extended his deal with Hoffenheim until 2019, but it is believed he will be available for €15 million next summer.

Niklas Sule is widely regarded as one of Germany’s most talented defenders and he was linked with both Real Madrid and Wolfsburg in the past.

The 20-year-old already has 69 Bundesliga appearances to his name and he even scored 5 goals to prove he can also be a real danger in the opposition box.
