Borussia Dortmund have filed in an official offer for Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente, German media outlet Bild has reported.
The experienced striker is in search for regular first-team action as he has been idling around in Kevin Gameiro’s shadow at Sevilla for the most part of the running season and is considering his options for the future.
Borussia Dortmund are, at the same time, looking for options to support their attacking line and get a reserve option in case they lose their prized forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and are keen to bring the 31-year-old Spanish striker to Germany.
Fernando Llorente’s current deal with Andalusian side runs until June 2018 and he is on a €4.2 million-a-year deal.
Sevilla striker has made 21 La Liga appearances this season and has scored 4 goals in the process. Llorente also added two goals in four UEFA Europa League games for his club in the ongoing campaign.
