Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have stepped up their efforts to sign Portuguese full-back Raphael Guerreiro from Lorient, according to L’Equipe.
The Millionaires decided to make their interest concrete after scouting the 22-year-old on a number of occasions this season and they offered €10m plus another €2m in bonuses for his services.
Despite the fact that Guerreiro has just another year left on his current deal, Lorient rejected the bid, but they are open to continue the negotiations.
Given the circumstances, everything suggests the Portugal international will be leaving this summer, and Borussia appear to be the favourites for his signature.
Raphael Guerreiro has developed into one of Ligue 1’s best full-backs, while he is also capable of operating as a left winger.
The highly rated footballer has been named in Portugal’s Euro 2016 squad and he will be battling Benfica defender Eliseu for a starting berth.
