Dortmund winning race for Eriksen

Daily Mail has suggested that Borussia Dortmund are wrapping up a deal to sign Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The Millionaires were locked in the battle with Liverpool for the highly rated footballer, but they appear to have moved to the front of the queue.

According to Daily Mail, Borussia have submitted a £10 million proposal, with Ajax holding out for £13 million.

The two sides are, nevertheless, expected to reach an agreement in the coming days, meaning Liverpool are likely to miss out on yet another long-term target.

Borussia Dortmund are forced to rebuild the squad in the summer, with Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and Felipe Santana all set to leave.

They have reportedly agreed a deal for Werder Bremen defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but few more high-profile players are expected to arrive in the summer.

The Millionaires gave a really good account of themselves as they lost the Champions League final to Bayern Munich.
