Drogba prefers Inter to Real Madrid

According to the Mail on Sunday, Didier Drogba will reject a move to Real Madrid in order to move to Inter Milan. These are not encouraging news for the Madrid outfit who seem to be losing their status as ’superstar magnets’ just as their chase for certain summer targets was gathering pace.

There could be another reason that Didier Drogba, destined for the exit door at Stamford Bridge, would prefer the Milan club to the Spanish capital. Rumour has it that Jose Mourinho will sign a contract with Inter on Monday, that according to Football Itaila. Didier Drogba would like to reunite with his former mentor.

The Mail on Sunday also thinks that both Real Madrid and Inter Milan have offers on the table for the Ivorian striker, however they both come short of Chelsea’s £20 million evaluation. Meanwhile, Real Madrid have made their interest public in characteristic style.

“Drogba is a great striker who interests big clubs and Real Madrid are one of them.

“We have many sets of negotiations in progress at the moment and I expect to close some deals shortly.” Said Ramon Calderon, according to The Mail on Sunday.
