Competition: Champions League
Market: Dynamo Kyiv and Man City to draw
Odds: 9/4 @ Betfair

Premier League side Manchester City travel to the NSC Olimpiyskiy to face Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kyiv for the first leg of the Champions League knockouts tonight, and the Sky Blues are hoping they can avoid defeat while grabbing an away goal to give themselves a chance of progressing into the quarter-finals.

Ahead of tonight’s fixture, manager Manuel Pellegrini made nine changes to the side to rest key players, so he’s desperate to be vindicated for the decision as City were thrashed in the respective FA Cup game to Chelsea. City’s recent form won’t give him much confidence, however, with the Sky Blues having suffered consecutive defeats in the Premier League ahead of the meeting.

The Premier League outfit have struggled away from home in Europe, delivering unconvincing performances on the road, and Kyiv are a side who could take advantage given their own dominance in their own backyard. The home side are coming off the back of five consecutive wins in their domestic league, and have lost just once at home all season in the division.

And with Manchester City having lost away to Everton in the first leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final, having lost to Juventus away in the Champions League group stages, and losing to Chelsea away in the FA Cup, Betfair are giving odds of 9/4 for the two sides to draw tonight. City will certainly settle for a stalemate, and Kyiv might well play for a draw too, in order to avoid conceding away goals.
