Russia’s Euro 2012 star Alan Dzagoev has revealed that he would like to test himself in one of Europe’s top leagues.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is currently attracting a lot of attention, having netted three times in his first two outings against Czech Republic and Poland at the continental tournament.
Dzagoev said he is flattered by the rumoured interest in his services but the CSKA Moscow man claims that there is still far more to come from him.
“I do not think that I have played two good games,” he said.
“In the second game I scored but I also lost the ball a lot.
“But yes, of course I want to try to play in another league in Europe. But at the moment I am focusing on the tournament and after that, I will look to make the right decision for my future.”
Dzagoev’s more immediate concern is the playing surface for Russia’s pivotal Group A clash with Greece on Saturday.
“I hope the pitch in Warsaw will be better prepared for this game because against Poland it was not good to play on,” he said.
“But I am convinced that we will reach the next round.”
