Dzeko keen on City stay

Edin Dzeko is convinced that his Manchester City career isn’t over despite the Wilfried Bony’s arrival at the Etihad Stadium, according to the Metro.

The Premier League champions laid out £28m for the Ivory Coast international last month, and he is set to make his debut for the club against Newcastle United tomorrow afternoon.

Dzeko has been with City since January 2011, and has since racked up one hundred and seventy-two appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring sixty-nine goals.

He won the FA Cup in his first season in England, and was also part of the squads that won league titles in both 2012 and 2014 and also the League Cup last season.

However, he has made just seven league starts for Manuel Pellegrini’s side so far this season and is set to move further down the pecking order now former Swansea City man Bony is available for selection.
