With just three matches left to play in the Belgian top flight, RSC Anderlecht and Standard Liege continue to share the lead. Both sides earned comfortable home wins on Saturday.
Anderlecht, who lead the league based on goal record, hosted relegation candidates FC Verbroedering Dender EH and scored three goals in the last six minutes of the first half. Tom de Sutter (2) and Marcin Wasilewski left the away side stunned.
A fourth and final goal was added by Thomas Chatelle in the 75th minute.
Standard de Liege earned a 4-1 win over KV Mechelen, only days after the latter secured a spot in the Belgian Cup final. Steven Defour, Milan Jovanovic (2), Christian Benteke all scored in the first half to give their side a comfortable lead. Joachim Mununga did something back for Mechelen on 75 minutes.
