Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko has quelled rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal. Reports of interest in the forward were ignited after Gunners first-team coach Boro Primorac confirmed the club were monitoring his progress.

Wolfsburg, though, are keen to retain the 22-year-old’s services, and Dzeko himself has stated that he plans to sign a new deal at Volkswagen Arena. Dzeko told Kicker: “I am ready for an extension of my current contract. I am feeling well being at Wolfsburg and VfL are definitely my first choice.”
