Thomas Eisfeld believes he has finally adapted to life in England after moving to Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in January.
The attacking midfielder has demonstrated some fine form in the Under-21 Premier League, scoring eight times.
And his performances have not gone unnoticed by manager Arsene Wenger, who gave the German his first senior run out during Arsenal’s 7-5 victory over Reading in the Capital One Cup.
Eisfeld told the club’s official website: “At the moment I’m happy, I had a tough start last year because it was big adjustment to move from German football to English football.
“But everything has turned out really well and I think things can continue to progress well. But I know I can still improve.
“(My debut against Reading) was a completely unique experience and one that I will never forget. When I came onto the pitch, I had this really good feeling. I thought we could still turn the car around. Then it happened and I’m delighted that we managed to win the game in the way we did.
“In a way it’s unbelievable to make your debut in a game like that because we, the club, wrote ourselves into the history books.”
