Stephan El Shaarawy wants to remain at Milan for the rest of his playing career amid reported interest from other sides.

The Italy international, contracted to Milan until 2018, has reportedly courted interest from Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund.

But on Monday Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani insisted that the club have no intention of selling one of their prize assets.

“I am feeling very good at Milan and I hope to stay here for the rest of my life,” El Shaarawy told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I heard what Galliani said about me and it pleases me that the club do not want to sell me.”

Galliani confirmed the seven-time European champions had not received any offers for the players.

“Bids for El Shaarawy? He is a 20-year-old player who is having a great season and it is normal that many clubs like him,” Galliani said.

“But we absolutely don’t want to sell him.

“With Stephan and (Mario) Balotelli we have Italy’s strike pairing and we want to keep them together.”

El Shaarawy made a terrific start to the league campaign for Milan but has failed to score since netting in the derby against Inter on February 24.

The former Genoa player has 16 goals in 33 games so far.

“I was disappointed on Sunday after the match against Catania as I had some good chances, but didn’t score,” El Shaarawy added.

“Obviously I miss the feeling of finding the net. I’m an attacker and forwards always want to score.”
