English giants eyeing La Liga starlet

Daily Mirror has learned that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are showing interest in Real Betis youngster Dani Ceballos.

The 19-year-old footballer was one of star performers last season as los Verdiblancos secured a return to La Liga, catching the eye of some top clubs in the process.

And with just a year left on his current deal, Arsenal and Liverpool are among sides looking to step up their interest in the midfielder.

The two clubs have sent scouts to watch the talented footballer in action, with a view of making official bids in the winter transfer window.

And while Ceballos has a £7.5 million release clause in his deal, he will be available for a portion of that fee if he fails to extend with Real Betis.

Dani Ceballos also impressed playing for Spain at the Under-19 European Championship earlier this summer, while he has since started one game for the Under-21 side.
