English giants vying for Antonio Rudiger

The Daily Mail is reporting that several top Premier League clubs are eyeing AS Roma stopper Antonio Rudiger.

The Germany international has just returned from a lengthy injury lay-off, and he proved his fitness with a good performance in the reserves fixture against Novara.

Rudiger will, therefore, have plenty of time to rediscover his form ahead of the January transfer window that could prove a busy time for his representatives.

Namely, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly readying a £35 million bid for the defender’s services, who should be arriving as a long-term successor to John Terry.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and especially Manchester United are showing interest as well, but it remains to be seen whether AS Roma would be ready to entertain offers for their prized asset.

Despite his fragile age, the 23-year-old has already shown a great deal of potential, making 96 top flight appearances in Germany and Italy.
