English giants Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interest in Feyenoord’s talented youngster Luc Castaignos, who left a good impression at the recent European Under-17 Championships.
Castaignos scored three goals and became top scorer at the tournament. The Netherlands reached the final but lost 2-1 to hosts Germany.
“We are aware of the interest and the clubs are willing to go far. But we forward each approach to Feyenoord,” said the 16-year-old’s manager Arie Treffers in an interview with newspaper De Telegraaf.
However, he added that the player and his parents prefer for him to stay at Feyenoord for another while. “A construction where a big team buys him but allows him to play at Feyenoord for some more time, has our preference.”
