Enrico Brignola on Fiorentina radar

Benevento forward Enrico Brignola has emerged as a transfer target for Serie A rivals Fiorentina.

Corriere Fiorentino reports that Viola have taken a huge interest in the 18-year-old talent who is enjoying a highly successful breakthrough campaign in Italy.

Despite his tender age, Brignola has used every chance he got this season and currently has three goals and one assist in 11 Serie A apparances.

Fiorentina are said to have been attracted by his versatility in the first place, knowing that Enrico Brignola can successfully fill in a number of positions upfield. He can play as a secondary striker whereas he is also comfortable running down the right wing or being slotted in the trequartista role.

Viola director Pantaleo Corvino has taken up on himself to keep tabs of the talented youngster and he’s already been in the stands for Benevento’s 3-0 win over Verona on Wednesday.
