Roma manager Luis Enrique toasted what was ‘a great day’ for his side after they hammered Inter Milan 4-0 on Sunday.
However, the Spaniard tempered his praise by urging his players to find consistency in light of a rollercoaster week that also saw the capital side fall to a 4-2 defeat at Cagliari.
“It was a great day for us and a wonderful victory after the defeat to Cagliari,” Enrique said.
“But it won’t count for anything if we don’t find consistency every single week.”
Goals from Juan, a brace from Fabio Borini and Bojan’s 89th-minute drive wrapped up a memorable victory against Inter, whose form has stuttered lately after eight straight wins in all competitions.
“How much of this result was down to Inter playing badly? We won 4-0 and were superior from the first to the 90th minute. We deserve the credit for that,” Enrique said.
“I have to thank the fans who came out in such large numbers to support us in this weather and also those who worked through the night to ensure the stadium was open for business.”
