Ex-England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has refused to dampen speculation linking him with the manager’s job at Hartlepool United.
Micky Barron is currently charge of the north-east club in a caretaker capacity following the departure of Neale Cooper on October 24, but local reports have recently claimed Eriksson is the League One side’s shock number one target to take on the role permanently.
“We’ll see what happens,” he told reporters when questioned on the matter.
In further developments, stories emanating from Eriksson’s native Sweden have suggested the 64-year-old may well be keen to listen to any offer from Hartlepool, whose owners, IOR Ltd, hold ties to the Scandinavian region through their parent companies.
Eriksson is currently working for Thai Premier League club BEC Tero Sasana following a string of short-lived posts with Notts County, the Ivory Coast national team and Leicester City.
