Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o is very happy to be working with new coach Pep Guardiola.

The Cameroonian is delighted that he stayed with Barca, after being linked with a move away from the club during the summer.

“I am very happy with the coach and the team,” Eto’o told Sport.

“After two years without success, we have a lot of desire to make something happen this season.”

Eto’o added on his relationship with Guardiola: “The trainer is paid to do what he has to do, which is for the well-being of Barcelona, and he has the right to do what he believes is best for the club.

“I am a professional and I understand it. Besides, I like a person who is not afraid to say what he thinks and tells it to you directly.

“But I am happy with him, now that we are united. Since the first day we started work, I have shown a lot of motivation and there isn’t any problems with the coach.”
