European giants battle for Thomas Lemar

French media outlet L’Equipe claims that a number of Europe’s top sides are keen on Monaco playmaker Thomas Lemar.

This is hardly surprising when we know that the attacking midfielder impressed playing for the French giants in Ligue 1 and Champions League, and his employers now face a fight to keep hold of his services.

Premier League giants Arsenal are believed to have had a €40 million offer rejected for Lemar, while other interested clubs have yet to make their moves.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona are some of the other sides showing interest in the 21-year-old footballer.

Lemar was in excellent form as Monaco lifted the Ligue 1 trophy and reached Champions League semis, having managed 14 goals and 17 assists in 55 competitive appearances.
