The European debut of little Queen of the South came to a cruel end last night when two goals in the last five minutes from Nordjaelland in Denmark sent them out of the Uefa Cup.
A superb 30-yard free-kick from Bob Harris in the second minute put the Scottish side back in the tie following their 2-1 first leg defeat.
Queens pressed forward in an attempt to become the first Scottish side to win after a first-leg home defeat but the goal wouldn’t come. As they pressed forward two goals on the break from Martin Bernburg put the tie beyond them and ended the adventure before it had really begun.
