Evans set for new West Brom deal

Jonny Evans is set for a new contract with West Bromwich Albion, according to the Telegraph.

Arsenal failed in attempt to sign the Northern Ireland international last month and now he is set to be offered improved terms with the Midlands club, who signed him from Manchester United last summer.

Since arriving at the Hawthorns, the twenty-eight year old has racked up thirty-seven appearances in all competitions with his one and only goal so far coming in a 2-1 win over Stoke City back in January.

In nine seasons at Old Trafford he played just shy of two hundred times and helped them to four Premier League titles, three League Cups and the Champions League while he has also had loan spells with Royal Antwerp and Sunderland.

He has been capped fifty-three times for his country, scoring once with four of those outings coming at this summer’s European Championships.
