Everton 3/4 to beat Swansea in Monday’s Premier League clash

Competition: Premier League

Market: Everton to beat Swansea

Odds: 3/4 @ Bet365

The Premier League continues on Monday evening following another weekend of incredibly entertaining and important games, with the festive period now in full swing with games coming thick and fast. Two sides that need to win for different reasons are Everton and Swansea, and they face off on Monday evening.

Everton have been in very good form in recent weeks as they continue to put space between themselves and the relegation zone. After 17 games they have six wins, four draws and seven defeats, with three of those wins coming in their last five games. The influence of Sam Allardyce on the team cannot be underestimated, and he is helping the Toffees back towards where they feel they belong. 21 goals scored is a fairly good return, but they need to continue to improve at the back as they have shipped 29 goals already this campaign.

Swansea, by contrast, have been very poor this season. After 17 games they have won just three times, drawn three and losing 11, whilst scoring nine goals and conceding 22 times, which shows that their problems have been up front this season. Paul Clement faces a huge challenge to rejuvenate the team, and they are already four points short of Stoke in 17th-place and safety. The Swans need to put together a string of wins to build some momentum then, but they will struggle to do this against an Everton side that is in the ascendancy. With all of this in mind, we are backing Everton with odds of 3/4 from Bet365.
