With all the top clubs in England looking abroad to bring in top talent, Everton’s David Moyes decided to be a rebellious one and is currently looking to reinforce his midfield with Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone. The Liverpool Echo thinks that Huddlestone will be brought in to fill the gap that was left by Lee Carsley.
Huddlestone would be the perfect replacement, it seems. The young midfielder, who can also play in central defence, has a wonderful shot and has the ability to control the midfield through his physical presence. On top of that David Moyes can snatch the 21 year-old from Tottenham for £6 million.
The Liverpool Echo further mentions that Huddlestone’s contract runs until 2011. However, with Juande Ramos looking to make wholesale changes to the squad and maybe change the team’s style of play, the English midfielder could welcome a move north. Or, should he prefer to stay a bit further from Scotland, Middlesbrough is also though to be weighing up an offer.

Got something to say?

Dream On..
Tottenham unearthed a gem in Huddlestone and he has got all the attributes to be as good as anyone in business.
Spurs will sell his right boot for £6 million if they are in good mood.
There is Tainio who is a loads of sweat no skill ,all heart player probably more suitable for Everton or Kevin Prince Boateng who will leave Spurs quicker than Huddlestone..Tom Huddlestone is a star in the making and there is no way Spurs will sell him.
Dream on boys..
The report from the echo is spot on, nut you then add that if he wants to futher away from scotland, then middlesborough are also interested ????
boro is a hell of alot closer ro scotland thant liverpool !!!
So, simply speculative fantasy on the part of the Liverpool Echo, why bother reapeating it. Huddlestone is not for sale and will be a Spurs player next season.
this site is bollox, everton would have to sell their entire squad to sign Tom
He seems a good player, but Spurs fans are a bit deluded if they think 6 mill is a poor offer. It may not be their valuation of him, but it’s hardly derisory. It’s called “negotiation,” lads.
So it won’t take selling the entire squad to get him (I think you’ll find that Everton have way more talented players than Spurs anyway), nor will your duff, no-skill players be more suited to the style of play that you think Everton have.
Maybe you’ve forgotten how we’ve played you off the hallowed White Hart Lane turf the last two seasons. I think it’s you who should “dream on.”
DREAM ON EVERYONE WHO WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HUDDLESTONE , GET LOST THE LOT OF YOU HE IS OUR STAR AND WILL REMAIN OUR STAR RAMOS IS SCARING THE CRAP OUT OF THE HUDD TO WAKEN UP THIS SLEEPING GIANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO WAY HE LEAVES RIGHT MR RAMOS .
